About this tool

What Is URL Builder? The URL Builder assembles a web address from its parts. You set the scheme, host, port, path, query parameters, and fragment, and the builder percent-encodes every key and value while the final URL updates live. How It Works The builder joins scheme, host, port, path, and fragment, then percent-encodes each query key and value using encodeURIComponent-style encoding. Because everything is computed client-side the result is deterministic and no data leaves the page. Worked Example With scheme https, host example.com, port 443, path /search, query q=cats&sort=latest and fragment results, the builder outputs https://example.com/search?q=cats&sort=latest#results and encodes any space or special character in the values. Common Use Cases build API request endpoints correctly construct shareable links with query strings escape query values safely for forms and logs Important Notes empty parts are omitted from the output encodeURIComponent-style encoding escapes every reserved character in values (spaces become %20) the fragment (#) is never sent to the server — use it for client-side routing Related Tools URL Parser — divide a URL into its parts. URL Encoder/Decoder — encode and decode URL components. URL Extractor — pull all URLs out of a page. Slug Generator — make clean URL slugs from text. URL Length Checker — check URL and query string length. Frequently
